I just received this in a trade as part of an attempt to get back to playing 4 string basses. But I just can't seem to do it. I miss my B string too much. So I'm going to try and give this bass a chance to get played.
Here is how the bass was described to me:
2012 Limited Edition Fender
Hand stained ash MIA P bass body (only 350-400 of these made), high-mass bridge, and neck plate
MIJ Geddy Lee jazz neck (bought here on Talkbass)
Aguilar pickup (4P-60).
There are 2 or 3 little 'nicks' at the top of the headstock (difficult to photograph as you have to look hard to see them) and another on the new-from-Guitar Center pickguard around the truss rod.
It is absolutely a killer feeling and sounding bass, with low action and great playability. Super comfy and the Aguilar pickup is great! If I had a stable of 4 stringers, this would no doubt be a lifer and at the top of the rotation.
I am looking to get
, insured CONUS, PP fine.
I'm not really looking for trades on this, but may
Carvin 5 string P/B/SB (fretted or unlined fretless)
Carvin Bromberg (unlined fretless)
Other 5/6 string unlined fretless
Lakland 5'er (+/-)
Maybe some kind of 5 string Music Man/Sterling +cash from me.
But primarily looking for an outright sale as I really am set for basses.
