Three 6 string basses up for sale or trade. 1. R.M. Mottola 6 string Jazz. W/ active Carvin pups & preamps. Mr. Mottola worked for the American Association of Luthiers as an experimental luthier. His creations are not seen for sale often. I googled him. This bass is in VG cond. & plays like a dream. It is heavy..12lb. Set up to Jerzy Drodz specs......very low action. Trade & sale value-$1000. 2. Matt Raines 6 string....made in Asia, passive, brand new, SUPER LOW action. Not a scratch on it. value -$600.
J.R. Beck 6 string. made in Korea, active pups, solid bubinga body, brand new. value $300 (a steal for what it is).
The Raines & Mottola basses are strung w/ roundwounds. the J. R. Beck is strung w/ Labella flats. All are set up by a pro tech & are very easy to play. Yeah, it's a whole lot of bass for the money. Sounds real good too, but if you wanted to upgrade the pups they are standard sizes, so no problem. It is built like a tank. You won't have to worry about hurting it.

The Mottola & Raines are 35" Scale. The J. R. Beck is 34.
