Exclamation 4 Vintage Precision Basses Up For Grabs!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Selling some of my P basses. Prices are firm for now. NO TRADES! All prices at bottom of page (+ship)

1979 USA Fender Precision with factory translucent-red finish (also known as ruby), with maple fret board. Awesome player. SUPER low action, no buzz. From what I can tell, no addidional routing under the pickguard. The two original pots are still in there with an added third. Pickups obviously are not oiginal. J route was obviously done by a pro. I did not get the factory case with her. THIS BASS IS SOLD!!!!!

1979 USA Fender Precision, Alder Fender body non-original body, finish, rosewood fretboard, etc. Old early 80's MIJ Fender P pickup with grounding plate. New pots, vintage cap. EXTREMELY light at 7.7 lbs yet balances very well (prob due to the tuners). Hipshot Ultralite tuners were about $175 alone. Strung with new LaBella Hard Rockin strings. Amazing player with low action. Cavities copper sheilded. 1979 Neck is in AMAZING condition (near new condition). Neck pocket has a couple of shims as it was a bit deep for the neck, but they don't have any negative effect on anything. THIS BASS IS SOLD!!!!!

1983 USA Fender Olympic White body with maple fretboard. This was owned for many years by a pretty famous blue grasser named Irl Hees (pronounced "Earl Hess"). Earl told me this was one of his favorite basses back in the day and that it went on tour with him all over the world. Still in pretty good shape. Great player too. G tuner was replaced, but you can get an original for cheap (one just sold on Ebay for under $10). Comes with factory tolex case. THIS BASS IS SOLD!!!!!

1983 or 84 MIJ Precision Sunburst body, rosewood board. Most amazing burst I've ever seen. It's an "SQ" serial #. Looks, feels, just like a US. Amazing player! Very straight neck, low action. The burst has almost a rainbow effect in person. It's really amazing. Lot's of dings and buckle rash, but a very solid P! New DiAddario strings on her! Sick bass for the money!

Yes, agree, she has a deep cut in the contour for a P. Sits well against my body when gigging. As for weight, I'm guessing 9ish or so lbs, but I'll weigh her tomorrow and let you know.

Man..that '83 is shaweeet! I bet she's gonna be gone fast.
Too bad I'm in Canada and USPS won't ship a bass with a case.
Would you be willing to ship with the neck off and keep the case?
Cheers!

Since when won't USPS allow cases to Canada? You sure about that? I know that I've shipped basses in cases in the past. If that's the case, we can probably still work it out. PM me.

I just received a bass with hard shell case (all within an outside cardboard box) - Minnesota shipped USPS to Manitoba. No problem at all.

I guess they must have changed it back, or maybe I ran into one bad post office.
Thanks for the info.
