If I could try that Salas out in person first, I'd be all over it. I am really looking for some lightweight basses. I am a little skeptical I'd like the tone with the mahogany body.

Free bump though.

Mahogany is a warmer sounding wood to my ears and this bass with the mahogany matched with the ebony board still has some bite to it. If you are looking for the ash/maple sound this will not get you there, but it's a nice little rockin' bass.

Yup, my favorite tone right this minute is solid maple body and neck with ebony board (pedulla mvp). It cuts like a laser. If only that thing weighed 2.5 fewer pounds.

I could possibly warm to the mahogany sound, but don't want to buy it and ship it only to have to sell it. It is probably best for my wallet you are in california.

I'd still give a kidney for that Tune!

I have a gorgeous Lado Studio 5 with your name on it!

A bump for the idea that someone can get your Spector 4 and my Spector 5 and have a matching set.
