This is an amazing bass that I just picked up from a buddy of mine. He owed me some $ and had just built this GORGEOUS Dakota Red 60s Reissue. Here is how it was made. The body is a US Fender Highway One that was originally that horrible Red that they Highway Ones come in. The neck is a fantastic Warmoth 21 fret Maple with a thick Pau Ferro fingerboard and done in tinted Nitro. The pick ups are US Fender 60s Custom Shop pick ups, it has an aged WMP pick guard and the Custom Shop pick ups are in white covers. It is really sharp looking ax. The tuners are the Hipshot 27:1 Reverse Vintage tuners with 66 style Lollipop tuners. It comes with both sets of Ash trays and a real Fender 60s threaded bridge. I have a custom shop Relic in Sea Foam Green and to be honest, this bass feels and plays ever bit as good. When you figure what people are getting for Mexican Road Worns and the crazy amount Fender wants for their 60s Reissues, this bass is a steal. The Pau Ferro is really stunning and has great sustain. I spent about an hour with it after I removed the ash trays and also took it to a local bass store and they freaked out. The guy who built it did to look like a new old stock, so it is super clean, but it is not ultra shiny and obnoxious looking like the high gloss thick finishes most companies use. Check out all the photos and feel free to PM me with any ?s. I am not looking for trades. I would like to get $1099.00 with shipping in CONUS for free. This is a super hip bass and you will be the envy of all your bass buddies! There are photos with and without the ash trays. If you happen to not like the white pick up covers, swapping them back to black would take no time. If you want an Audere Pre Amp, I can swap out the stocker for the Audere for $100.00. Thanks!!
