Thinning out the heard once again. I love this bass...tons of mojo and a killer player, but 4 rosewood board Ps is a little excessive. Up for grabs is a Fender US Vintage 62 P-Bass (2000 or 2001 can't remember). Will include original brown G&G case (a little rough but fully functional) and pickup covers. Since it's conception a few things have changed:

-Body finished Black (nitro) over existing original 3-color burst (nitro)
-Neck Lacquer tinted
-Full Relic (all finish and relic done by Nashville luthier Phil Jones)
-Lindy Fralin P/U
-Bone nut
-CTS Pots & 50s wired
-Switchcraft Jack

PRICE DROPPED TO $1200 !!!! Paypal'd and Shipped to Lower 48

Would consider full or partial trade for the following:

73 P-Bass Body, bridge, pickup, knobs, pickguard (trying to put a body with a neck)
71 P-Bass Pickguard (Black or Tort)
Ric 4001 or 4003
Duessenberg Starplayer bass
Guild Starfire Bass
70s Maple Board Jazz Bass (may consider rosewood)
Mid-High End Mic Pres/ Comps
DB750
B:ssmaster
T-Rex Reptile Delay
Moog Rogue Synth

I'm open to other offers as well...the worst I can say is no. PM with any offers/ questions. Thanks.

That's sweet. I kick myself daily for dumping my 62 Fiesta Red P. How'd you get the back of the neck like that?

I don't normally go for the "reliced" thing, but I really like this bass a lot.

"I can't buy it right now, but really like it" bump for you.

Thanks for the responses. I feel like I may kick myself for selling this one to! The back of the neck was smoothed and worn when it was relic'd. It feels great to play. A lot of the real early 60s fender basses ended up that way due to the extremely thin nitro lacquer on the neck.
