70s Crestline Jazz Bass Fender Copy MIJ very well built! - Black Friday Sale!

1973 Crestline Jazz Bass copy with original covers, pickguard, and tuners. Not much is known about these models and they are somewhat rare, but the quality is much better than the Ibanez, Tokai, Aria et. al. that are more prevalent online. The neck, nut, and finish are all top-notch and you will not be disappointed with this bass. The build quality is very solid and this NAILS the 70s Fender vibe right down to the hefty 10.6 pound weight!

So this may not be for the weak of back, but the bass is dripping with tone. The bass came to me with SD Basslines installed which I replaced with Fender Custom Shop 60s pickups and a Sprague Orange Drop cap. So, the bass is in great shape and a nice way to get into a 70s Fender style without spending the Fender bucks.

Crestlines were not issued serial numbers, so dating is a chore, but they were only around for the first part of the 70s. I was told it was a 1973, but it's all conjecture. Here is some of the available online info:

And let's let the pictures do the talking:

I have additional photos, if you want them just send me a PM. I'm really looking for cash, but it never hurts to offer a trade. I'm not into fives or more "modern" basses, but again, give it a try.

$399$349 shipped in the lower 48 and Paypal is okay!

I had a Crestline Strat made around the same time as this Jazz and it was a killer guitar. Bump for a nice looking bass.

Oops...

I just realized that not everyone would play the bass with the covers on like me and that I forgot to include the "naked" pix!

The bass looks great either way IMHO and these detailed pix show the Fender Custom Shop labels and that when the previous owner installed the Duncan Basslines, there were a few dings in the paint around the bridge pickup. Nothing inconsistent with a 36-year-old bass with mojo!

I don't know for sure. If someone could help with a measurement I could check. Anyone have a Geddy Lee handy?

In response to the question about the 70s spacing on the bridge pickup, the bridge pickup is 1 1/4" from the bridge. So, I'm not sure if that's true 70s spacing or not, but it definitely growls and burps in the bridge!
