74 Jazz "inspired" bass - VAN REPAIR SALE !

Sign in to disble this ad
This is inspired by a 74 Jazz that I fell in love with but couldn't afford. It just completed a nice tour with me, and sounded and played great every night ( I got TONS of compliments on the tone).

STATS:

Alder Jazz body
Allparts maple blocked / bound neck
Fender Geddy Lee tuners
hand shaped bone nut
Fender MIA pickups (from HWY 1 if I remember right)
wired as volume-blend-tone
strung with D'addario Chromes
tremendous tone and playability
lightly "aged" to look like a well loved vintage bass

This bass is a beast. It will eat the MIJ Fender RIs for lunch. It is every bit as good as a "great" vintage Fender.

A real 74 will get you almost $4k these days...buy this one for
$1050 SHIPPED in the USA ------> UPDATE: Van repairs force me to entertain offers, "fair" or otherwise. Auto problems are NOT a good way to start my day. Feel free to offer just about any price...I may just have to take it.

My ebay ID is "Sodavine". I have over 500 feedbacks, all 100% positive.

Pics -

I didn't read your ad correctly the first time and thought it was at first a real 74. I was going to grab it in a second and then I saw it was a copy. Cool bass though!

is the body from a MIJ Jazz or a Mexican Jazz or is it the Highway 1 and does it have a pool route or is each pick individually routed cause this bass bassically sounds like a MIJ w 'Merican pickups your answers will go a long way here for most in determining interest and price offers. It is a very sharp bass looks gr8

i think he stated in the original build thread that the body was a fernandes.

The body is from an old Fernandes - no swimming pool route.

It's definitely not just a "MIJ w 'Merican pickups". (I would have advertised it as such if it were)

I'm sure it is a quality instrument and while I was not trying to downgrade your bass it is made w Japanese and American parts.
