Beautiful '76 p-bass in Olympic white (or is it alpine? I dunno). You don't see too many in this color combo. It's identical to the bass Paul Simonon smashes on the cover of London Calling. Nifty, eh? The finish has aged beautifully, with some wear marks, yellowing, and nice checking. It's nice and light, plays great, and sounds wonderful through all my amps. There are a fair number of small nicks and dings, but nothing major. I tried to show most of them in the photos. There is a row of extra bridge mounting holes peeking out from under the tail end of the bridge - apparently it had a different bridge on it at one time. They're very well hidden and I didn't notice them until I'd had the bass for over four months.
The neck is perfectly straight and the frets are in great shape. All original parts as far as I know - the bridge looks original but may not be. It's a fantastic bass, the best I've ever owned. Nails the classic p-bass sound and just feels good to play. Resonant, balanced sound.
Pots are both marked 032367. Jack is Switchcraft. Pickups have no markings on them but look old. I'm guessing they're original, but I'm not an expert on ID'ing them.
Comes with a tweed hardshell case with a couple funky latches. Works well enough to keep it safe. I just became a supporting member here, but I have 141 flawless ebay feedback as well as good transactions on TGP. $1600 shipped/paypal'd.
