1977 Ibanez Black Eagle with OHC. $1400 Shipped CONUS

Pretty good shape compared to most I've seen. A couple screws changed out on the tuners, a few bumps ands nicks. Case has seen better days but is still functional.

Amazing to see a headstock intact on one of these.

Man, this was my first "real bass" after a shoddy Univox.
Played it for years.
Sweet bass; good luck with the sale.

Take it from a vintage Ibanez hunter. You will never find a Black Eagle in this condition for this low of a price!

Fellow eagle bass owner bump. These are awesome instruments, and can't beat the vibe.

At age 19, in 1977 I came into a few hundred dollars, so I went out to buy my first new bass (of 2 basses I've purchased new in the past 35 years). I went to Andy's Music in Mobile Alabama, and played a Black Eagle, and a Challanger sunburst Jazz copy. More of my bass "heros" played Jazz style basses, and the Fender vibe won out.

Now, 35 years later, the Black Eagles are going for $1500 - $2000, and the Challenger is going for $400. Not that it matters, I still love the Challenger, I have people come up all the time and say, "Hey, I have a Block neck Fender Jazz just like that one... wait... that's not a Fender!. Now it sports Dimarzio stacked humbuckers (vintage early 80's) and a J-retro pre and it's still my 9/16 wrench... a "must have" tool in the toolbox.

Wish I had some gear bucks, I'd buy this to keep my Challenger company. Thanks for letting me ramble bump.
