If you want to be a closet Cliff Burton or Paul Macca/Geddy/Chris Squire, this is the one you want....There is a lot of history in this bass and it is a real player. Early 79 Burgundyglo....try to find this color....it is difficult--ESPECIALLY at this price....
It has gone from death to life since I have had it. When I got it:
the pickups were dead---they are brand new now
all of the wiring was cooked---all rewired correctly
Bada$$ I bridge--left it because it makes the bass come alive and tightens up the sound
Original P/G was mangled---found another one very close, holes are slightly off
tuners were shot--has brand new Rickenbacker tuners on it
OG hard shell case comes with it. slight crack where the body had been routed for the bada$$....has not moved or opened.
Could use a level job on the frets and maybe a new setup since I have it tweaked for me...strings ride pretty low but buzz because that is how I play...Considering the prices of Ricks and the shape this thing is in, $1300 shipped in the CONUS
My only reason for selling, there is a Rick that I have seen before and it is available to me and I don't want it to go away again.....

Could an original Ric bridge be put on it without holes showing?

Free bump for a good dude and a nice Ric! | It started life as a white Ric and the PO decided to paint it and had the top and the headstock painted with the designs and then clearcoated so it feels and looks like a factory finish. It was done very well... |

I have done the reverse mod myself before to put it back to stock but this one sounds REALLY good this way so I left it... |

Burgundiglo is an amazing finish. Pictures don't do it justice. Very tempted by this myself and may have to pull the trigger if it's still here in a couple days.
Is that the original pick guard?

the pickups even out on volume
No neck twist and it is close to Rick specs
It has fret buzz because that is how I set it up, it is part of my sound
I have not checked for dead spots.
Serial number is SA (Jan of 79) |

Jaymi, that color combo is excellent. If I had the coin to part with, I'd make it mine, leave the BadAss I, and cut me a new, black pickguard for the surrounds like this one:
