Not the early 80's ones. They came out with a later Precision Special.

That is a rare bass, for sure. I had one awhile back, and they are good players too.

The nut is 1.65" (or B width).
The neck has the thinner D shape.

1980 was the first year Fender offered a Precision Special.
It came with one split coil pickup and had Fender's first active preamp.
There is a micro-switch that changes the electronics from passive to active.
That was what made it "Special".

Yes, everything is original and in excellent condition.

This is an amazing bass at an amazing price - period!!!

I sold one for $2,750 and the only other I saw sold for $3,200

At this price some built in equity from day 1...

Oh and by the way...a wonderful playing and sounding bass
