Hello all selling a medium scale Squier Precision made in 1984 according to the E Series serial number, Basically in perfect condition apart from a ding on the head and the back of the body.Other than that its mint,no scratches, rashes, bumps etc. that includes the neck which has no dings or wear anywhere Its perfectly straight with no wear on the frets,no fret buzz or dead notes anywhere, this bass is resonant as heck and is loud and audible unplugged.the olympic white has aged nicely into a cream that stands out against the white pickguard. The only reason im selling it is that i prefer long scale p's,and would really like to get a 50's p for the fatter neck. Other than that i would love to keep it but it wont get used too much.
Id like to get $420 Shipped to ur door OBO,or would love to trade for a precision with 1.75 other words an mim classic 50's
I do have precision barrel type knobs that i will include rather than those black ones pictured. Thanks for looking everyone pm if interested.
for those of u asked the width at the nut is 1.625 like a modern precision bass, and i just weighed the bass on my bathroom scale and it came out to a cool 6 pounds
Looks sweet. Can't believe it weighs so little. How does the tone/sound of this compare to a "regular" fender p-bass? Is that a rosewood fretboard? Thx, DM
Yeah I know I was surprised myself till I weighed it again lol, honestly man I feel like the 2 inches don't really make too much of a difference,if anything I feel like the tone is a bit tighter and focused especially when played with a pick. It sounds as big as my 51 precision, and pumps out the low mid thump very nicely , I can get those nice precision punk tones easily as well as some motown thump with a roll of the tone knob and finger picking. I wish my squier p had rounds on it so I can really tell the difference, but it sounds full out precision to me, and yeah that's a rosewood board lol
Thanks for the quick response. I'd be sharing it with my son, so lemme see what he says and then have to convince you know who. Good luck regardless, DM
lol tell the misses that the shortened scale can be easier to play then full scale hah, bump for the morning.
