This is an '89 Fender '62 RI Made in Japan Jazz Bass with upgrades. It's Vintage White and very warm looking - warmer than it appears in the photos. The rosewood fretboard has a tight grain and is the deepest color of rosewood I've seen on a 62 Reissue. The frets are in good shape with very little wear. The upgrades include a Gotoh bridge for better sustain, a Fender Road Worn tortoise pickguard, new DiMarzio DP123 pickups with adjustable pole pieces, and 70's Fender Reissue cloverleaf tuners. Also, I had the stock electronics replaced with CTS potentiometers and an orange drop capacitor for that vintage tone. This is a beautiful bass and it has a very "live" response while playing - the neck is straight and the action is set low which makes it a breeze to play. In person this is a stunning bass. It weighs 9.5 lbs on my kitchen scale. Considering it's excellent condition and the expense of all the upgrades I feel the 750.00 price is more than fair.
