90s Fender Precision Bass - Just refinished by Marty Bell

Sign in to disble this ad
90s MIJ Foto Flame Precision, in a brand new Marty Bell finished Lake Placid Blue. I just got this bass back a few weeks ago...the original foto finish was chipping off and annoyed me. Thus, it went to Marty (martybellfinishing.com) and came back awesome.

The neck has the famous hamburgler on it, as all foto flames do, and it was just set up and plays like a dream. No issues with the neck, frets etc. Bridge is a bad ass bridge, and I do not have the original. Comes with a gig bag.

Here's a link to a few pics . If you want more, please let me know. It goes on ebay within a week.

$600.00 plus s/h - firm (the finishing alone was $300). No trades or internationals please. I think this is a steal of a deal for an awesome bass.

Bump to say that my Foto Flame did the same thing. While I do
like cool crazing mojo such as you get with an old nitro finish, what
my FF was doing just irritated me, so I offed it.

Obviously you came up with a much better solution. Great color!

I'm definably interested, its just outta my price and I live in Canada.. GREAT looking bass tho.. I have heard that those foto's are pretty frustrating with the finish always bubbling and peeling etc.

GREAT looking Bass - Good luck

I have 5 foto flame jazz basses, 4 of which were redone by Marty Bell, one still with its original finish (and when i can afford it, it too will be refinished). all of them had the finish checking (part of the mojo I think), but once they peel, I redo em.

The p-bass in this thread looks amazing now. It's like a new bass. I think considering the cost of the re-finish, this is a steal. Sorry its out of your range.

I got a pm asking what the hamburgler is....

thought id share the link on the foto flame series.

Xhefri’s Guitars – Fender Foto Flames

while mine is now finished in the lake placid blue, it plays like a foto flame should....buttery, solid, awesome feel and tone....and of course, the hamburgler IS on the neck.
