This is an Ibanez ATK 305 from 1994, not one of the more recent reissues. There is no Ibanez label on the headstock, but the serial number is C441989. Includes original hardshell case.
The body appears to be ash, with a very nice grain visible through a very tough transparent finish, and the neck and fretboard are maple. The neck joint is nicely contoured, with a five-bolt connection. The bridge is quite massive, and is designed for through-body stringing.
The electronics are quite nice, and include a three-coil (one of which is a dummy) pickup active three-band preamp, master volume, and series/parallel/coil tap switch. It sounds pretty much like a Musicman Stingray-- think Louis Johnson, Flea, Tony Levin, or John Deacon. I bought this during my Tony Levin phase.
I have owned this bass since 2004 and have never had to touch the trussrod. No dings, dents, scratches, mechanical issues, or electronic problems. If you're looking for something that sounds and feels like a MusicMan Stingray for less than a grand, this is it.
