90's MIJ Ibanez SR1300PM: Poor man's Warwick

I've had this bass for about a year now and it just doesn't get played. Here are the specs:

34" scale
Body is mahogany sandwiched between padouk
Neck is 5 piece wenge with bubinga stringers
Fretboard is Wenge
Neck is 1.5" at the nut
Passive with V/T controls for each pickup.
Dimarzio PJ set
Fully shielded, including the pickup cavities

I did all of the work on it. I'm not a professional but everything came out good. I also did a fret level, crown, and polish which came out great. I removed the metal base plate from the bridge because I wasn't able to get the action where I wanted it. It's given me no problems. You could also put the plate back in and shim the neck if you wanted to. I like my action nice and low so you might not need to use a shim..really depends on your playing style.

It's in great shape and I think with an EQ this thing would be supremely versatile. It's got a lot "wick" in the sound and right now it has quite a bit of range, but it could be improved with an active EQ. As it is, it's an aggressive bass with a lot of mids. IF you like quick fingerstyle funk, this is a great bass for you. It also has the classic soundgear neck...seriously one of the best necks I've ever played.

It's fitted with TI Jazz rounds right now. I'm asking 300.00 plus shipping, OBO. At that price I think it's a great starter bass or a great project bass. Comes with a softshell case.

Here are some pics. Feel free to shoot offers and questions my way.

Thanks!

Dan

Gosh Darn It! This is a smokin' deal, and I can't snag it!

Somebody's really gonna love this bass. If, somehow, you still have this bass in September, shoot me a PM!

Yeah it's a great bass but my Thumb gets all of my play time right now. I forgot to mention it could use new knobs. These knobs work but they are the original knobs and they don't look good on the pots I have in it. Other than that, it should work well for a long time. I priced it to sell seeming as how I modified it so much. I think they are improvements over the stock vari-mid electronics but not everyone thinks like me

None right now unfortunately and I don't think I'd be able to record any until next weekend at the earliest. I'm out of town all week.

No big deal it was for selfish reasons anyway because I'm unsure of how much money I'll have next week. Very kind of you to respond, though. Cheers.
