'94 Warwick Fortress 4 (all wenge neck)

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a very nice Warwick Fortress 4-string bass. Yes, it's German made and in excellent condition -easily 9/10. The neck is thin, straight and and super fast! This bass has been well cared for and sounds great with the PJ-pick up configuration. I recently picked up a couple superb basses and the ones I don't play need to go (unfortunately ).

Looking to get $750 plus shipping.

Pics coming soon!

My fortress 1 was my first "real" bass back in the early 90s and as I grow to find what makes a good bass it far exceeds all criteria. I don't see what they can do better with these.

Free bump for a killer Warwick. I have this same bass. You cannot beat the quality of these older Wicks. They seriously churned out custom quality axes in those days, not that the newer ones arent great either... GLWTS

Free "Great ergonomics" bump. The Fortress has beautiful balance with its long upper horn. And that slim wenge neck is to die for.

I owned a Warwick Fortress One Masterman made in 94. The wenge neck remains the nicest neck I have ever played. Bump from another Davisite and former Fortress One owner!

Free bump for this lovely creature. Later versions had 3-piece bodies. I've never found a more ergonomic and elegant body shape. The wenge neck is really something special, and the profile is no chunkier than a P-bass. Feels so good! The fortress really thumps - WHY OH WHY DID THEY RETIRE IT?

If I wasn't so cash deficient, I would own this. Beautiful finish. Stunning design. Someone buy my q5 so I can snag this.
