Easy to play neck, low action, and very punchy. |

Sold all of them except for the Fortress, love that bass, will never part with it. My Fortress is growlier, punchier, and cuts better than the others. Also like the weight and balance.
If I didn't have mine, I'd buy this...
....yeah I know, enough of us guys who "would" buy it already. But ya get another bump. |

Nobby Meidel Signature-limited edition 25th anniversary re-issuue
1314059000GDBMWWSP Nobby Meidel 4 str., satin natural or... colored oil finish $7.000,00
25 years after it was first introduced Warwick reintroduced the Nobby Meidel bass, but with some amazing updates and better features. This "headless" bass features a new ball-end holder (made from Wilferite), a zero fret, and a complex sandwich body construction with a birdseye poplar top, maple middle lamination, and wenge back. The neck is made from wenge with a maple stripe and a wenge fingerboard.
One of the most significant upgrades to the Warwick Nobby Meidel bass is the active MEC Twin-J and J style pickups that Warwick chose to use with this instrument. Paired with an active MEC 3-band preamp, the Nobby Meidel has a tone much bigger than its narrow body might suggest. Well balanced and very comfortable to play, every Nobby Meidel is shipped with a special bass stand, an extra set of Warwick EMP strings, a Limited Edition certificate and a body chest bow.
The Warwick Nobby Meidel bass is only available as 4-string version
• Headless Neck-through-design
• 4-string
• Birdseye poplar top / Maple / Wenge back
• Neck: 2 stripes Wenge / 1 stripe Maple
• Wenge fingerboard
• Scale length: 34" (long scale)
• 26 jumbo frets
• Active MEC J/TJ Pickups and MEC 3-way electronic
• available in Natural Satin Finish, coloured Oil Finish or High Gloss Finish
• 3 control knobs (Volume, Balance, Bass / Treble)
• Schaller 3D bridge
• Warwick Nobby Meidel tuners
• Gold hardware
• Neck side ball-end holder
• EMP strings (.045" - .105") |
Beautiful! Join date 07/10, 1 post.
Who'd want this when they can have a perfectly gorgeous Warwick Fortress at less than a third of the price?!?
Some things are beyond explanation.
