'95 Warwick Masterman 5 String

Sign in to disble this ad
This is one of the good ones...a 95 model with a 2 piece plum stained flame maple body and a wenge/wenge neck...34" scale, MEC pickup and pre, gold hardware.

The bass plays great and sounds killer. The neck is a thick piece of Wenge...it's definitely got girth but not so much that it's unplayable. If you wanted to, you could remove the neck and take batting practice at your local baseball stadium. It is stable as hell and just produces that wonderful Warwick sound.

This bass has been played and the body shows some mojo. There are dings and scratches - this is no wallflower. I tried to capture them in the photos in the link below.

The bass comes in a non original HSC and is priced at $880 shipped - paypal.

Thanks!

lol...i know what the headstock says. they might have put the "fortress one" truss cover on these in the early days, but they ended up being called "masterman" in the end. there are mastermans from the late 90s with Fortress Masterman on the truss cover, though.

Yeah AFAIK they never made any "Masterman" truss rod covers, or if they did, it's extremely rare. All of the Mastermans that I've seen (over a dozen) had Fortress One truss-rod covers.

It's a Masterman.

Yep,bongomania and HaPpYfAcE are right, that's a MasterMann (sometimes they spell it Mastermann, sometimes Masterman btw),they never made trussrod covers for them so they just kept using the Fortress One ones.Aaaaand had I not just bought a new comp I'd be all over this.

I don't have an OHSC...there is a hard case which is by Epiphone I believe...or you can opt for a gig bag.

It's a Masterman.

There were a few Masterman truss rod covers made towards the end of the production run. Rare indeed - but out there. I've had two of these guys - and still have my purple 1994. One of the best Warwick's of all time IMO.

The Masterman truss cover exist!!!

Dude!! I've seen one and it cost an arm and a leg!...$3k. It was up for sale one day, and the next day it was gone. The masterman truss cover indeed is a rare item.
