Tax time cometh, it breaks my heart but I need to sell my Acacia fretless 5 string.
This bass represents luthier Matthew Friedman's finest work.
It is one of his final instruments ever produced.
Specs: Imbuia top and back with stunning feather grain. Mahogany body core. 11-piece neck with Mahogany core and Rosewood runners. Macassar Ebony lined fingerboard. Lane Poor pickups with Friedman's sweet passive electronics. Macassar Ebony bridge hand-carved with turned brass saddles. Hipshot Ultralite tuners. 35" Scale 19mm string spacing at the bridge 1.75" nut width Weighs only 8.5 lb.
Everything on this bass represents the finest to ever come from Acacia.
A truly wonderful instrument with beautifully organic tone! $2900 plus shipping & insurance. Update: The following fretted TRADES considered, +/- cash:
Sadowsky NYC, Alleva-Coppolo, Carl Thompson, vintage Fender Precisions or Jazzes
Thanks for looking!

Anyhow, hope it finds a good home.

If this one was 34" scale and had narrow (or at least adusteable) string spacing it would be joining its 6 string wenge brother.
And shrigg is a great guy to deal with here on TB. Somebody is going to love this very unique and beautiful instrument! |

If it doesn't sell I'm considering having it fretted so I can actually use it. |

This is a work of art.
I was in the process of ordering a fretless 5-string form Matt.
It was never completed.
When he stopped making basses.
if this was 34" I would jump on this. |

I like the other dimensions quite a bit... just curious about the contour... also assuming the knobs are V/V/T, being a passive circuit?
