This one is a custom made for me by British builder Alan Knight ( http://www.myspace.com/bigal024 ) two years ago - Al's other clients include bass players for The Specials, Florence and the Machine, and Slade. This particular bass is a '64 style Jazz, but with a 1-3/4" wide "C" Precision neck instead of the standard 1-1/2" wide "A" Jazz neck.
Neck and body are Allparts, tuners are Gotoh reverse vintage style, and pickups are Kent Armstrong vintage "Hot". The fingerboard dots have been replaced with clay dots, and the pickguard is celluloid.
The bridge saddle screws were "over reliced" by Alan, and were rusted stuck, so I've replaced the bridge with a new vintage style bridge.
I've owned two of Alan's custom Fenders, and while they are not as nice as the three Nash's I own, they compare very favourably with other custom built relic style instruments.
Weight is 8 1/2 lbs. Frets are as new, tuners, truss rod and electronics all work perfectly.
There is no hard case, so I will ship the bass worldwide via insured trackable international express post, with the neck off as a smaller package.
