Well I never thought I would offer this one up but here goes.
One of a kind Custom Alembic 5 built specifically for me in 2000. It was the Alembic "Featured Custom" in January 2001 and is still featured on their web site (see link below).
This bass has a flame maple top and back with matching control cavity covers and truss rod cover.
Ebony board with Mother of Pearl inlays on a Maple neck with purple heart stringers.
Red LED side markers that do not require outboard power but run on four 9 volt batteries.
The pickups were specially wound by hand by Ron Wickersham to give them a rich warm tone much like the Alembic Series II basses.
The body shape was the very first version of what was then called the "Balance Point" body. The longer upper horn helps the bass to balance better and minimizes "neck dive". The hardware is all gold plated.
You can read more about some of this basses unique features on the Alembic web site. It's a wonderful instrument but I just don't play it any more so I would rather it went to someone who would use and enjoy it amazing beauty and thunderous tone. This bass would cost over $10,000 if you had Alembic build it for you today. Don't miss your chance to own a true classic bass that will only appreciate with time.

Also here is a photo of me with the bass in it's original form before the boost switch and the side mount jack was added.

Asking price is $4,500.00 comes with OHSC. Partial trades considered. Probably only for other "high end" 5 stringers though.
