Well this could be the hardest day of my young life thus far...
I've had Supra-ventricular Tachycardia (SVT) since I was about 5 years old. I've a few scares here and there and some surgeries to go along with them. Well news after leaving the doc today is that there are going to need to be a few more. This means time away from the road + insurance deductibles + the list goes on = one big hit to the bank account. This puts me where Im at now.....
Selling my cherished AC KBP5. This is my baby and after some long hard thought I decided I have to sell her...reluctant as I am.
This bass needs no introduction only to be played. There's plenty of info about these bad boys all over TB.
This one sports an amazing burst on a lightweight (around 8lbs) alder body, Indian Rosewood fingerboard, nitro finish, and crazy rich tort guard. Got a new set of Sadowsky nickles on her with a low (buzz free) setup.
If you want that old school P bass sound with the Low B this is the only option (IMHO.) It sounds and PLAYS better than my '69, but that bass holds an amount of sentimental value that it will have to be pried from my hands (i hope & pray it never does.)
Sorry for the sad story and hope it goes to someone who will love it as much as I do
