Great price on a great American-made 4-string Fender bass. Vintage sunburst with rosewood fingerboard - it's a beautiful instrument. Excellent condition. Access both P- and J-bass sounds, plus active electronics for dialing in your sound. Includes original Fender hardshell case. Sorry to see this bass go.

Why is the bridge pickup different from the pickup of the current models that I keep seeing? What is the difference? Can you post a link the the product page of this instrument so I can see some specs? Thanks so much!

Because the new ones use a noiseless jazz pup. That was a humbucker.

Does this bass have a jazz neck on it?

No. All the ones Ive played like this have a fat baseball Precision neck on it like they should.

Free bump. If I hadnt just dropped coin on a new Stingray, i'd pick this up since youre local.

Actually, Fender calls it a "modern C" neck, and I think it's a bit narrower than a standard P neck, but definitely not as thin as my Lakland 44-01. Sort of in between and Jazz and P. Very comfortable regardless. And it's got one more fret than a regular P with a slightly bigger cutaway for access up high.

9 volt. And to answer some earlier threads, I think it is a mid-late 90s model, as I picked it up in 2002 (if I recall correctly; definitely by 2003, because it's in some gig photos from that time).

I don't know why this is not selling? This is my favorite p bass to date, and that is the best price you're going to fine anywhere. I'd buy it if I didn't have one already!

Do you have the option of using the pickups as passive also?

No, it is straight up active. Great, organic sounding active.
