Hi all,
I'd like to sell my '97 (approximately) American Fender Jazz Deluxe bass. I switched the pickups to Seymour Duncan Antiquity IIs, which I like a lot. This bass has the Fender active pre-amp installed as well, as is usual with these deluxe models.
These basses sell for $1,179.99 on Musicians Friend. It's a black bass with a Rosewood board and I've switched the pickguard to a tortoise shell that looks really nice.
This bass sounds and feels great. I've had it for a while and it was my main bass for some time. I bought a Precision bass recently and put Lindy Fralin's in it, and I'm in love. The active thing just isn't for me right now, but there isn't anything at all wrong with this bass. The neck is straight and the truss rod is in good shape as well.
I'll include some pictures very soon, but I wanted to get this out to everyone to see if there's any interest.
I'd like to get $700 plus shipping. I might be interested in a couple of thing for trades or partial trades:
A really good envelope filter.
A really small power amp (at least 300W @ 8 ohms).
Feel free to politely make other offers. I'll reply with a polite 'no, thanks' if I'm not interested.
Thanks,
Jason

So here are some pics of this bass. I've had two people follow up and strike a deal with me, and then flake out. So here it goes to the top of the list again.
