I have a vintage Late '70s Yamaha Pulser Bass 400 P-bass Lawsuit model. I purchased this straight from Japan from a vintage music shop there.
Ash body, maple board, original passive P-bass pickup, original tuners, bridge and bridge cover. Bass is in great shape, especially considering its 30+ years old. Body and neck are CLEAN. 1 5/8s at nut, 9 lbs on my bathroom scale. Vintage delicious.
These basses are solid, built to higher standards than Fenders were at the time. Many believe that these are better Fenders than the Fenders.

I know sunburst/tort guard/rosewood is one of the most popular looks for a pbass, but it just isn't my thing. I dig the fact this has maple/maple neck. Is the finish nitro? Or how would you describe the feel of the neck?
