I found this '83 brand new, unsold in a music shop in 2007. I peeled off the protective film on the plastic on the back (pots) cover when I bought it. It is absolutely as new except for the nick in the front edge that is in one of the photos (I guess sitting that long in a store is risky). The nick is big, as you can see in the photo of it. Otherwise perfect. Frets look like you'd expect on a new bass, quiet action. Has a set of medium-scale TI flats, about 3 months old, on it. Carved body (ash, I think), brown sunburst, set neck. Light and comfortable player.
I really, really like this bass but recently found both *the* P I'd been looking for and a fretless Jazz, and the Aria is not getting played at all. I paid $500 for it and will sell it for that plus actual shipping cost. No case. I will cover packaging costs.
Here are a few photos. I should have wiped it down first, as some lint and dust (and reflections of the pebbles in the driveway!) that I couldn't see on the screen showed up in the sunlight: http://picasaweb.google.com/11146166...eat=directlink

I won't ever sell mine!

| | | | Thanks for the photo post, Squarewave. Funny, but your Strangelove line was going through my head all day yesterday (before your post).
Mazareth, I'm not sure I'm selling this one either, based on responses!

| | | | OK, I'm ready to talk price, if that's an issue. An actually used one like this went for $450, so let's start there. I'll also include a nice, new Guardian gig bag.

| | | | Trades possible for lightweight amp heads. |

| | | | PM sent. I was thinking 400, seeing as you want to get rid of it, but, since you're throwing in the gig bag, $450 sounds nice. |

| | | | Bump. Still have it. |

| | | | Sale fell through So, I still have this bass for sale.
I might be interested in trading for a mandolin, since that's what the proceeds of the sale will be used for. Maybe even a nice five-string (banjo).
