Aria SB 900 (circa 1986)

I am the original owner of this bass and take good care of my gear. This bass typical of all the old Aria SB basses: great feel, low action, nice sound.

This bass is a solid 8 out of 10. The finish sparkles and has a minimal amount of small dings around the edges. Frets in great shape. Truss rod is perfect and rarely needs adjustment. When I moved from Beaumont Tx to Cleveland Ohio, I bairly needed to adjust the rod. The neck is very true.

Comes with original hardshell case that is a little worn around the edges and plastered with stickers.

I really want to sell to someone in the Cleveland/Northeast Ohio area if possible to avoid shipping hassles. I am looking to sell for $600 obo and will deliver to most anywhere within 2 hours of Cleveland.

If no local bassist are interested after a week to 10 days, I will then consider shipping to anywhere in the lower 48, but will need to tack on $50 to cover shipping. If actual shipping is less I would send a refund for the excess. Charging for shipping is in compliance with the rules in the rules sticky thread:

That is a very nice example of the SB-900! You don't see too many in such nice condition. Very good price, too!

Yup.

On my 1980 SB-900: String Spacing 1-3/8" nut, 1-7/8" bridge (string centrelines).

droskobass, I have been to Old Montreal a bunch over the past year on business. Love that city.
Weight is typical Aria SB, around 9 or 10 pounds. Don't have a great scale that that is the ball park. Balance is perfect and still feels comfortable.

More Pics. The white around the pickup is flash reflection.

Additional pics.
The first has two shots of the bridge. The bridge is very shiny with just a little wear in the finish. The wear does not show well with flash, so I took a low light pic too that exaggerates the wear. Under regular lighting it really is not noticeable.

Second set shows a few minor dings on the bottom. Really only visible when using flash and surface only, no chipping of the finish. I shot with flash and room light to contrast them. Ignore the nasty flash reflection I point out in the photo as it is only a reflection.

Just want to point out the worst flaws that this bass has against it after around 25 or 26 years.

Could you give a "quick & dirty" as to what all the controls do?

Thanks!

The controls are very versatile.
2 Stacked volume and tone controls, 1 set for each pickup
2 phase switches, 1 for each pickup
3 way rotary pickup selector
output jack
I added the layout on the attached picture
