oil finish
1 3/4" nut
18mm string spacing
Gotoh tuners
8.5 lbs

Wonderful tone with great playability and easy access to the upper register.

SOUNDCLIPS AVAILABLE. Please DO NOT PM me for them if you are not serious about a potential purchase or trade.

Sold.

Trades considered but I'm really looking to sell to help pay off 2 customs in progress.

INFO ABOUT ARIES CAN BE FOUND HERE: Aries basses These are beautiful handmade basses from a luthier in Croatia and typically sell new for $3500 and up. They are pretty much the epitome of the "hippie sandwich" style basses.

Looks like a nice chunk of Black Poplar Burl. Some of those pieces have a white background with black eyes and splotches and swirls, kind of like Horsechestnut. I asked my current builder about it and he couldn't get it, so I found an awesome piece of Amboyna.

I piped in on the original thread, but I think that it bears repeating for any potential buyers that I tried many top-shelf basses one day at Luthiers Access Group and the Aries really stood out. It had a great feel and extreme attention to detail was evident everywhere.

The bass that I tried was an Aries Conus fretless semi-hollow and the memory of it is still strong.

Bump for a great Croatian builder.

Cheers.
