For sale is an Ibanez ATK 750 KOA. solid ash body and koa top this model was only made for the summer of 2008 and was not in the catalogue. This bass does not sound or play like normal ibanez basses . This ATK has a jazz near the neck pickup position which the standard model does not. The tone of the bass is deep and thunderous, with tones ranging from P-bass to music man to a jazz bass. The bridge pickup is a massive 3 single coil pickup, and with the 5 way pickup switch you can choose a wide range of tones. bass has never been gigged and sits in brand new condition.
it is priced at $650

| | | | Do you guys that own these basses really like them? Tone wise? Similar to the sterling HS? |

Fit and finish is very solid and the pickup configuration makes for a pretty versatile bass. You can definitely pull off convincing active jazz and stringray tones. Though the bucker in the ATK seems to have a bit more thump and a bit less zing than the stock MM pickups. Sure you could dial in that little bit extra if you were determined though. I just wish I could get one in a 5er with wide spacing. Overall, amazing bass for the money (and great bass in general) IMO. Easily my favorite modern, non-prestige Ibanez. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
