Atkinson Precision Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale is a beautiful Atkinson Precision Bass.

About 8 pounds, light relic. Very slim and fast Geddy-like neck. Nitro finish. US Hipshot Ultralight tuners. Seymour Duncan SPB-1 pickup. Electrosocket jack.

Sounds great, lightweight.

I am sorry to be selling this bass, but I need the money right now. Someone here will love it.

$620 shipped in a nice gig bag.

NICE!

I love how simple it is. What woods? I assume alder/rosewood?

Alder, and I believe the board is ebony. It's very, very dark.

Really like burst on this! Unfortunately, I cannot own every cool bass I see!

I don't see this staying around long!

ha! good timing on that one.

btw, here's my P-bass sporting a similar look:

yours looks better, if only b/c of the lack of screw holes.

Shocked this isn't gone yet. I'd be tempted to get it and swap the neck out for a fatter P style neck, IF I had some moneys.

For those interested:

Not to toot my own horn, but this is a fantastic bass. Super light, great tone, looks sweet. Radius is vintage 7.25". Frets are vintage. Ebony fretboard. Alder body. Very thin nitro finish.

It was painful letting this one go. If I didn't have a basement full of basses right now, I would buy it back myself!

On hold pending payment.

Thank you, Dan. Your post generated a lot of new interest. I agree; it will be hard to pack this one up.
