For what its worth...I have a Chinese made one just like the one for sale the arrived almost perfect in the factory box. The only thing that it needed was some foam under the pickups.

I also have a similar newer USA made with dual MM pickups that the pickups were forced into routes that were too small, most of the pickup screws were stripped and could only be taken out with a channel lock, and two of the neck screws were bent.

Like just about everyone else, I would prefer to purchase stuff made in the USA if at all possible, but my personal experience on these basses is the Chinese ones may be the better deal.

Just my two cents worth...

BTW...a great deal on a super bass. Whenever I have used mine live I have gotten compliments on the sound. Also, I think these are 18mm spacing (like most 5 string Fenders), not 19mm.
