6 lbs, completely hollow from bridge to nut with perfect balance on the knee or strapped. Multiple soundholes and approx 2" thickness make it nicely audible unplugged for quiet practice alone. Uber ergo comfy . 34"/19mm, passive Delano humbucker (stacked vol/tone with 2 way selector for series/parallel coil configurations). Control cavity has room for a pre if you like. Glass flat board with hollow neck=tapper's wet dream. Schaller style locks. Faux headstock has clamps rather than tuners (which are at the bridge to provide perfect balance in spite of the helium-filled weight). It takes any standard strings. Has a truss rod and is insanely stable across temp/humidity swings.
This is my 2nd Soul V. I spec'ed it as a sort of semi-ABG when our band decided to add an acoustic set.......which never materialized. One Basslab is all I want and I'll hold the other one, mainly 'cause I prefer JJ to the single 'bucker.
Bass itself is as new but could use a setup and new strings. Gigbag is gorgeous but it's front pocket zipper is dead.
Paid about 4K and waited 10 months for this unusual bird. I realize the custom "splatter" faux pickguard paint scheme isn't for everyone and this ain't your Daddy's bass. The sound is characteristic of a hollowbody and she will feed back if you get too close to your head (you can play Jimmy H with a tube head if you're so inclined).
Asking 1850 obo shipped CONUS but will listen to any and all cash or trade offers. Can also be picked up in Montreal or shipped from within CAN if desired. Paypal is fine.
Stuff I particularly dig:Mesa and GB gear, Fender basses, nEarful/fEarful cabs. Not very into FX but try me. Maybe VT Dlxe/newish light poweramp/rack gear, Carvin BX1500, patridges, pear trees, bottles of vintage port, barolo, brunello or potato vodka, vinyl records, vintage home audio receivers, Montreal Canadiens memorabilia, portable nuclear submarines, Breitling watches, real bow ties.
PLEASE: Any bass trade offers MUST be 5 string,34" scale and at least 18mm spacing (only exception would be a Dingwall AB1 or ABZ). I have zero interest in any cab over 55 lbs.

International OK IF (and only if) payment is by money order in US funds, shipping costs are extra, and you understand that I can accept no responsibility after the professionally packed box leaves via the carrier of your choice.

| | Registered Schmoozer. | | | | | PM, for the heck of it. Feel free to answer questions about the bass in the thread, if you like.
EDIT: Just noticed this thread is a month old. Not sure how I came across it... oh, yeah, searched "Dingwall" and this came up because of your trade interests. |
