Beatle (Beater?) bass - MIJ - sale or trade

Sign in to disble this ad
Don't know the brand, but here's an old Japan-made Hofner copy. Rough around the edges: some wood carved away for some reason around the neck heel, one mismatched tuner, some finish cracks. Electronics all seem functional, but it is what it is. Which is to say, it's playable as is, but I'd consider it a project bass.

Will sell (with equally beat hard case) for $75, or will trade for:

old beater Ibanez (Roadster/star, Blazer, etc.)
old beater Yamaha
old amp, cab, parts? probably no effects, though.

Action is super-low right now. Could use some adjustment. Short-scale, yes.

Headstock pic above, but here's the back of it. And that's finish cracking, not wood.

PMs replied. Sorry, I can't be too helpful with the questions regarding how this compares to a Hofner, as I've never played or really looked closely at one.
