Beautiful Carl Thompson Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
For Sale is a beautiful 32 inch 1979 Carl Thompson Bass fresh from Carl's shop. Absolutely incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Body is made of walnut, Custom Striped pickups made of bycote bloodwood macasar ebony and matching control plate. The neck is a remarkable curly maple, but I couldn't really capture it in the pics. Macassar ebony fingerboard with bloodwood fretlines and bloodwood veneers. Headstock is a combination of flamed mahagony curly maple bloodwood and ebony. All around sweet piece of art.It is one of the fastest playing necks I have ever played. I assure that you will not be disappointed in this bass. I almost forgot to mention this bass has serious tone!!!!!!! This bass will be a huge collector item years from now. Message me with any comments, questions or concerns. Feel Free to Make Trade offers! Looking to do partial trades +cash on your end for a Chapman Stick, Chapman SB8, or NS Stick. Also willing to trade for boutique basses, preferably a six string.

$4500 or best offer

Oh sweet Jebas! I envision myself with that bass and a nice pic-in-et basket in the grass.
How we would laugh! I have been infatuated with CT basses after Primus came out with Frizzle Fry. That Piccolo with the whammy bar made me look at these forever!

Someone will be happy!

I pray that someone will buy it, because it truly will make someone happy. This bass plays incredibly, and the only reason I am selling it, is to help pay for music school in CA.

I agree with Ben! Someone needs to buy this bass. It is a steal of a price for a ridiculously nice and rare CT. There aren't too many early CT basses with this kinda custom work and frills. Look around if you doubt me. I have looked and haven't found another like it.
