PRICE REDUCTION TO $1800 SHIPPED TO THE CONUS
Ok, I had this up a few weeks ago but pulled it down because I wanted to think about it a bit more carefully. I thought about it, and though its a very very tough one, I do have to thin the herd.
What we have here is a gorgeous Lakland USA 4-94 Deluxe with a tobacco sunburst quilted top.
Serial number is #742. I don't know exactly how old it is but I suspect someone can find out by checking the serial number. I myself have had the bass for about 2 years.
It has an ebony fingerboard, a drop d turner, the quilted maple top and is in great shape.
There are very slight "polish rub marks" near the pickups from playing, but nothing that comes even close to cutting through the finish. I can't even capture these "finger rub marks" on camera. There are very slight "top finish swirls" that show up in certain light but what bass doesn't have that frankly. The bass has Fender flatwounds on it right now. Everything works perfectly. The bass weighs 9.2 pounds.
The bass has a single coil at the neck and a MM style pickup at the bridge. You can play both or either coil on the MM pickup. This allows you to dial in a stingray sound (both coils, back pickup only), a jazz sound (one back coil and the front coil), or the full Lakland sound (all coils active). It has a very powerful pre-amp with a bass, middle and treble cut/boost.
The OHCS is in great shape. I bought it after I bought the bass and it really hasn't seen much action..
I'm looking for $1800 shipped to the lower 48.
Here are photos. There are more photos a few posts down.
