It pains me to do this, but I've got to put my phenomenal Bee Stinger up for sale. I ordered this bass new from Fred in 2008 and received it in July of this year. It's freakin' incredible, but I just can't afford to keep it around. Fred's not exactly turning out basses at warp speed, but let me tell you, what's coming out of his shop is golden.
It's got an alder body, rosewood fingerboard, and the most amazing quilted maple top. It's got a Delano quadcoil MC5 FE at the bridge position and a Delano split-coil JMVC5 FE at the neck position; those two Delano pickups were made to be paired in an MM/J pickup configuration, and they absolutely rock. They've got great balance between the two, and the tone is huge! The preamp is Fred's 3-band BeePre wired in volume/volume with a passive tone control; the neck volume control is push/pull for passive mode. The bridge pickup has a coil tap for front coil/both coils/rear coil, a la Lakland. It also comes with Schaller strap locks and a very nice Mono gig bag.
I'm looking for $1700 shipped in the lower 48. Since I need to make room on my end, please, no trades (unless you've got one of the pedals on my GAS list in my profile).
Pics!

My bathroom scale says I'm 195.5 without the bass and 203.5 with it... I'm not sure I believe the bass is 8lbs, but I'd buy 8.5. Close enough?
Scale length is 34", and the string spacing at the bridge is 19mm. The nut width is just a hair over 1.8", which is pretty standard fare for 5'ers.
