Can't believe I'm selling this, but I've got to make room for a baby and another custom order. This has been one of my main basses since I got it about a year ago. I wanted something along the lines of the Fender Pino Palladino bass (without the astronomical price tag), combined with some of my favorite 60s and 70s P and J features, and Ben Lindsey really delivered! This bass is light (will have to check on the weight), resonant, and solidly built. Here are the specs:
Alder body, Fiesta Red over Sunburst nitro finish, light relic
Maple neck, lightly tinted nitro relic finish
Nice dark rosewood fretboard, clay (or at least clay-colored) dots
Jazz-width (1.5") bone nut, fairly thin profile
Aged hardware, including Gotoh Res-o-lite tuners
Lindy Fralin P pickup
Real nitro tortoise pickguard (one of my favorite features)
Pickup and bridge covers (aged), 70s-position thumb rest
Cloth-covered wiring, shielded cavity
I'm sure I'm leaving things out, so please ask any questions. It's in pretty much the same condition as the day I got it, plus some normal, very light play wear. I have more photos I'll post later. I'm only asking $1050 shipped in the CONUS, which is a fair amount under what I originally paid, but I'd need to sell quickly. It doesn't have a case, but I've shipped a lot of instruments over the years and it'll be packed very well. Thanks for looking!
