This is the most elegant and beautiful bass i've ever seen.

Handmade in the US by Chris Benavente, i believe in 2009.
Six woods: Amboyna burl top and matching headstock and truss plate and matching pickup covers (very cool) ; Ebony fretboard, bound with Bubinga, Alder body, Eboby wood knobs, Maple-Wenge 3 piece laminate neck.
The strap locks are inset (and bass will come with the locks)
The instrument cable is inset (see photo) at the perfect angle to run the cord through your strap
Satin gloss finish
35" scale, 19 string spacing
Benavente custom spec Wide Humbuckers, with Benavente 3 band eq.
Knobs are front, back pickup volume, bass mid and treble boost (center detente is essentially the passive sound)
Hipshot A bridge and Ultralite tuners - there are slight paint scuffs on 2 of the tuners from using a mechanical string winder
About 9 pounds
It's currently strung with a high C instead of a low B but the top nut wasn't recarved for that, so you'll be fine putting a low B back on.
*Comes with free SKB hardcase*
** I just got it back from its maker Chris Benavente recently - i had him give it a set up and asked him to check it out and make sure it's in prime health. How often can you buy a used instrument and know it just was looked over by the guy who carved its wood and created the thing from scratch? You can call him to hear yourself that it's in great shape!! **
*** He said that this bass would cost at least $4,000 today
Why am i selling such a gorgeous fine sounding immaculate bass? Because I realized I am a fretless lover, and can't afford two high-end basses. Ugg.
