BENAVENTE Vintage Vortex 5-String - Dimarzio Ultra J, 35" Scale, MINT

SOLD!

This is a sweet custom Benavente Vintage Vortex 5-String - Lake Placid Blue Finish, 35" Scale, Dimarzio Ultra-Jazz pups & Benavente Preamp (with active/passive push-pull). I absolutely LOVE the sound of this thing, but I'm picky and the 35" scale doesn't work for me. The neck is very Jazz-like (i.e. thin and super fast) and the action is very low. The Dimarzio UJ's are one of my absolute favs and they don't disappoint in this bass - very quiet with tons of punch.

The bass is in like new/mint condition - the only things I could find were a thin finish crack/chip by the neck joint (on the treble side) and a scuff at the very end of the headstock. Let me know if you need pics of these.

Specs:
Body: Alder
Neck: 3-piece Maple/Wenge neck
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Scale length: 35"
Frets: 24
Pickups: Dimarzio DP547 Stacked Single Coil Jazz
Preamp: Benavente Custom 3-band
Controls: Volume, Volume, Treble, Mid, Bass (Push/Pull for Passive)
Tuners: Hipshot Ultralite
Bridge: Hipshot A-Style Chrome (19mm spacing, adjustable)
Weight: 9.4 lbs

Selling for $1500 shipped in the US. International shipping is no problem, just PM for quote. A hardshell case is included (no logo on it, so I don't know if it's the original case, but it fits the bass perfectly). Will consider trades for boutique 5-string basses (34" scale or 33" scale ONLY).

Thanks for the kind words...I'm sure someone is going to love this thing. If it were 34" scale, it would definitely be a keeper. Heck, if anyone has a 34" scale Benavente 5'er, I'll trade!!!
