I aquired this bass just over a month ago, but GAS is callin' so I've gotta move out some gear to pay for the GAS-inducing bass (sound familar?). Plus, I've come to the conclusion that I prefer the simplicity of a passive Pbass. Up for sale is a black Benavente Vortex 4 with maple fb and black block inlays. The neck on this bass is outstanding! It is really smooth, plays fast, and you can get the action really low, if you prefer to do so. It weighs only 7.5 lbs, has the Benavente 3-band pre and Dimarzio pups. The nut width is 1.6" and string spacing is 19 mm based on my measurements; I don't what the radius is, but it's flat and the neck is quite thin front to back. I don't have a HSC for it, but it will be shipped in a gig bag and double-boxed.

Asking $800 shipped to try to move this as soon as possible, but I'm pretty firm on this price. No trades, please - I need the cash to help cover the cost of another instrument.

My own pics are forthcoming, but in the interim pics can be seen in the original FS ad: FS: Benavente Vortex 4 black/maple board. Thanks for looking.

BK

Finally posting pics - sorry for the delay (the holiday kept me busy!). The second pic below shows a small ding - its not through the finish; although, it looks like it is in the pic, may be an artifact of the camera flash. There are also two very small dimples/dings on the back of the body and a very small area of worming on the edge of the control plate, but I couldn't capture either of these with the camera. The finish has some typical swirling as well, some of which you can see in the 1st pic below.

Thanks,
Ben

I don't have any readily available, but I'll take some better outdoor shots, including full front, tomorrow morning and will post the pics shortly thereafter.

Thanks,
BK

I can't say whether those are specifically Ultra Jazz Hum-canceling; the only info I have is from the original owner who states that they are DiMarzio Jazz pups.

As for fret wear, it looks pretty light to me - nothing more or less that what you typically see. There's a lot of life left those frets.

Thanks,
BK

One last bump before ebay or the local consignment shop. Price drop to $800 shipped.

Wow lightest jazz and thinnest neck front to back I've ever played and stupid low. You didn't mention the nice, subtle flamed and figured fret board and neck. Thanks again Ben!
