Black/gold Fender Made in Japan fretless Jazz

Sign in to disble this ad
It's a 1987 Fender Made In Japan (Fuji-Gen) fretless Jazz Bass. Original owner told me that the electronics are original. Has a mirrored gold pickguard, BadAss II bridge in black and gold, bigass open gear tuners, very VERY thin and narrow Jazz neck (probably the thinnest Fender neck I ever played!) No buzz or noise...plays really easy and sweet.

It's not mint...but its in very nice shape. Has just a couple small dings and a few scuffs that will probably wax out. Appearance from 5 feet is great!

How's it sound??? Like...wow!! This is a really great sounding Jazz!! A little hiss from the vintage single coils, but they all do. HUGE diffence in tone between the neck and the bridge pup and great control of the blend between the two!!

Comes with a very nice Fender form-fitted Jazz ABS case.

First $450 firm grabs it!! (shipping not incl on this one)

I have students looking to buy MIM or MIJ P and J Basses...those trades would be desirable.

Are there side dots and if so, are they where the fret would be or the usual fretted instrument location?

Yup...it has fret side markers. They are placed exactly in the middle of the fret, right where they would be on a fretted bass.

This is a very cool looking instrument, but I can never understand why Fender will make a fretless instrument with dots as if it were fretted.

Good luck. This bass will make someone happy.
