Black & Maple Fender American Standard Precision Bass
This is a black Fender American Standard Precision bass with a maple fretboard, anodized gold pickguard, and a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder pickup.
It has an awesome sound and playability, but I have really big hands that are used to the ball bat of a neck on my 1972 Telecaster Bass. I cannot get used to playing on any other neck, so I have decided to build my own bass with a replica of my Tele Bass neck.
The bass comes with a Fender hardshell case and is $800 with the Fender-matching Hipshot DeTuner, or $750 without the Hipshot DeTuner. Shipping and insurance are additional, and will be actual cost determined by the shipping option chosen by the buyer.

I should have said in the original post that this is for sale only. I have a very specific design and components list for my next bass, so I am selling this to fund that bass.

looks like some interesting grain on the back of the neck bump...

Thanks for the bump, ShirazBop!
Yes, it is a beautiful instrument that has an impeccable setup, sound, and feel. If I had smaller hands I would keep it, but I have played my Dingwall Prima 5 and Tele Bass for so long that I find it hard to get used to other necks. In fact, I keep my old Jazz Bass because it was my first quality instrument, but it doesn't see a lot of action either.
In honor of ShirazBop's avatar of what is (in my opinion) the most beautiful color combo ever - black and maple with a black/white/black pickguard. I will include the B/W/B pickguard that came with this bass for FREE! The pickguard never even had the protective plastic removed when it was switched out for the gold anodized guard, so it is fresh and ready to complete the perfect bass!

I'm out of town, but I'm pretty sure it's a 2007.

Is this still available? PM'd

Is this before the highmass bridge and all the other upgrades made for the AM Standards in 08? Some of those basses had a 2007 serial#.

The bridge is fairly beefy, but I'm not familiar enough with the before and after to know. I did buy it as a 2008 though, so this might be the bass you're describing.

If possible, can you post a closeup pic of the bridge? Thanks

I'm out of town right now, but I'll post one next Wednesday when I return.

I went online to research Fender's high-mass bridge, and when comparing it to an enlarged pic of my bass I have no doubt that my bass has the high-mass bridge.
Here are the pics for you to compare:
