I have one of these. The Piezo piezo pick up is totally THE BOMB. It sits in with acoustic instruments in a way that magnetic pick ups have never done for me.

Maaaan do I ever wish this was 34". I had a single pickup version of it and it was absolutely killer.

Just out of curiosity, did they ever do a 34" or 4 string version of this bass? I have only seen the longer scale fivers. I absolutely love it and would jump on it, but I really want a 4 string with a 34" scale (max).

Bolin

Yes, they did make some 4 strings..... both in single and double pickup versions as well as fretted and fretless. The last one I saw for sale was on eBay quite a while ago.

yes the 4 string was great i remember playing that at namm wish i had gotten one of them....

by the way these are truly great instruments...I have an NS bass and the basscello and the Bolin is constructed better than both of them.. and they are pretty well made...

I'm also trying to "scale" my way out of 35"scales for fretless bass
otherwise this would not be for sale

cheers

Bump for a Bolin.

I have a 4 (2 pups and piezo) and would happily have another but the 5 has one string too many for me. re. the 35" scale - I owned the 5 prior to the 4 and I have to say I didn't even realise it was a longer scale!

yeah it's really weird it does not feel like a 35 scale bass it's so comfortable ... i was kinda shocked to find out it was 35
