I kinda hope no one wants this.

I need to raise some money briskly, the Bolin and the L-2 are bolted down, so this one gets the possible boot.

Special Order, 2008. Took 9 months (but I did go MF..).

I paid 1949,99 two years ago, current list around 2450.00, couldn't find one for sale to establish current retail.

I'd have leaned toward mint (original case has Never been out of the house), save for a headstock/cymbal incident, pictured.

So, Not mint.

I have about 5 days to generate some cash, so it won't be around long enough for anyone to say 'I can't believe this is still up'.

And if you Were interested, I'd need Paypal, like, Yesterday.

I could waste bandwidth, telling you this is the top of the diminishing returns ladder, but I think you already know.

I installed a Fretfx light system, can be removed w/ No trace, but maybe try it, sure came in handy on dark stages. The old model, w/ two levels.

Sorry, no trades, 'lessen you have one of them 5-string semi-organic walnut-metal Spalt's

Price includes shipping to the continental US.

1495.00

Unfortunately for you I *do* want it!

Unfortunately for me I *don't* have the cash you want, only a trade you don't want.

Free "holy crap that's beautiful, wish I had the cash you're looking for" bump.

In answer to a few private queries:

The special order part is the 2 humbuckers, that particular color/pickguard combination and the piezo's. The piezo lets one blend in an acoustic element to the sound, but not clanky, as many of the acoustic piezo-equipped basses sound. The tone controls effect the piezo. For lack of a better word, it can make the sound more spacious. The controls are volume, stacked piezo/magnetic blend & neck and bridge blend, stacked 2-band mid and stacked bass & treble. A small adjustment makes a big difference. The only thing that one may consider problematic about the controls is that Wherever I set it, I always think, 'That's the sound I'm looking for!', but if I adjust it to another sound, think the same thing. Thanks for your interest.

To give you a bump and ask a question if I can....can you post a pic of the headstock and the start of the neck to show how the FretFX system runs from the headstock to the neck? This is another addition to the bass, not part of the custom order, right?
Mostly out of my own curiousity....but one of the most killer basses out there. GLWS.

You bet!

And you are correct, it is after-market.

If you scroll through her site, you'll find an NS Bolin and a Thumb I put them on, as well.

Thanks!

Thanks for the picture, that is EXACTLY what I wanted to see. I have a red Bongo and am thinking of putting the Fret FX on it....it's a $70 upgrade, people!

I have this exact bass and it is a very, very high quality instrument

It has a LOT of tonal variations and hovers somewhere between a souped up Stingray and Pbass imho for most of the tones I go for.

The B string is typical Musicman. In other words, fantastic
