I think it's simply a matter of lack of familiarity. In Japan, this is a first rank boutique instrument.

What's the string spacing? (I like it a bit tight.)
Is it a known brand preamp, or of Bossa's design?
I guess those are splittable humbuckers? Is the switch for single/parallel/series?

It has a single coil Killer Jazz tone. A fat humbucker sound. And is a dream to play. The bass is in excellent condition.

If you have any, you might want to share them with the patrons of this thread to give them an example of the Bossa. |

I use my Smith Basses 99.999% of the time because that is what I am known for. I have been playing Smith Basses since 1986. Not to say that I would not use the Bossa for a recording.
