Boulder Creek Acoustic/Electric 4-string Fretless

Santa didn't get you that upright you wanted for Christmas this year? Take a look at this legitimate alternative:

For sale is a great sounding acoustic/electric 4-string fretless bass made by Boulder Creek. Model number: BR3-N4F.

These basses retail around $700, I will sell this one for $400 shipped within North America. Includes a standard padded gig-bag. I will not ship overseas, too risky, and too expensive.

This is a great looking and great sounding bass, which features a cedar top, mahogany sides and bottom, rosewood lined fretless 'board, currently strung with TI flats, and produces a very warm, round, tone that is very upgright-like. I will post some sound clips to demonstrate that later. I have used this for jazz and bluegrass gigs. The excellent pre-amp, which has both a 1/4" and XLR output (see pics), can get plenty loud without feedback. There is a built-in tuner. Its a really great acoustic/electric 4-string.

The looks take a bit to get used to, but the position of the sound holes improve the sound for the player, making it very resonant, even unplugged.

This bass is in good-to-excellent condition, I would give it a 9 out of 10. Only minor player wear and one hairline crack in the outside finish (does not go thru to the inside of the wood) on the side near the bottom strap pin. The crack is difficult to photograph, and does not impact play at all.

Now, on to the pics:

I do have to say, the Boulder Creeks have the best electronics package I've used in an ABG. Great preamp!
Good Luck.
