Wink Brand New (got it today) Musicman Sterling Ray34 in Honey Burst!

No bites so I returned her. So no loner for sale!

So I just got this today. Beautiful bass, but the tone is not my thing. The 3 band EQ sounds a different than the 2 band in my old Sabre. It's enough of a difference that I will either return it or sell it here. Does not sound bad at all, just different. I prefer a less aggressive tone (like in the older MM 2-band EQs). The 3-band EQs are more aggressive with more growl and grindy highs. Yes it can be tamed a bit, but my ear is trained to the 2-band I guess after having my Sabre for a while.

So why get my 1 day old one vs a brand new one?

- I'll sell it to you for cheaper than any retailer ( http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend....ass?sku=580995 )

- I carefully took the strings off and cleaned and oiled the fret board with Fret Doctor. The boards on these are very dry from the factory. I applied it, let it soak and wiped it down 3 times. It was done right.

- I set the bass up and it's done right. Factory setup was "OK" but not great. She plays great now.

- You get to see the look of the grain of the body on this one before you buy it vs getting it online without seeing it. Sure you can get one at GC, but those are played by dozens of people or more. This has a total of about 2 hours play time on it at my house only by me and nobody else.

So if you give me just $559, it will be delivered to your house (and insured for full value)! How's that for a bargain? Comes with the factory gig bag (which is quite nice), all tags, tools and original receipt for warranty purposes. Bass will be shipped in original Musicman shipping box and shipment will be insured for full value.

PRICE IS FIRM! If I can't get that amount for it, it goes back. I'm only leaving up for sale here for a couple of days before it goes back, so act now!

Payment options:
US Postal Money Order
Paypal eCheck (I want to avoid the higher "instant payment" fees if possible)
Bank Cashiers Check
Personal Check (will wait for finds to clear before shipping)

No bites so I returned her. So no loner for sale!

Here she is next to my ATK. Pictures were taken BEFORE I cleaned and oiled the fret board. Fret board grain is much darker and richer looking now!

Well, obviously the ATK won the tone battle!

I have the opposite problem-most of my GAS money should be arriving in about 2 weeks!

Love the looks of these!
