Brand New Spector NS-2J SE-1!!!
I had this bass for sale a month or two ago, but pulled it after deciding it was simply too good to part with...well...I just picked up a '79 walnut NS-2, and it is 'the bass' for me, so this one is back up on the block.
It is the #6 special addition NS-2J, one of only 14 made! I purchased it new from a dealer earlier this year.
The body is solid walnut (as opposed to the standard mahogany) and it has a gorgeous highly figured walnut burl top; absolutely incredible playability and tones, it weighs 9lbs even.
All tech specs can be found here: http://www.spectorbass.com/SE/se1.html
The only difference being I swapped out the EMG's for an Aguilar 60's J set, and the bass really came alive; a less compressed, more natural tone with added depth, clarity and dynamics.
Mint condition aside from a few small finish imperfections (unnoticeable from a few feet away), 9.5/10, old beater HSC included.
$2100 shipped/$2000 local
$1900 shipped Con US/$1800 local for a limited time only ;)
Any questions of course feel free to ask, I can also send hi-rez images to anyone interested.

Are you looking for a straight sale or are trades an option?

Bump for a great price. I sold my 2009 NS-2J EX (Spalted Maple) for this price about 2 months ago. This will sell and be loved by the purchaser :smug:

Thanks Marc! I have no doubt this bass will make someone very happy :bassist:
Really only looking for a straight sale, I'm absolutely head over heels for the '79 NS-2 I just picked up...I have a feeling my GAS will be gone for long time ;)

I also have first hand knowledge about how much better these basses are once the EMG's have been replaced.

Thanks for the kind words! May I inquire as to what flavor your particular NS-2J is?

I honestly didn't think I would ever consider selling this again, it really is that good, but every now and again a bass comes along that just flips your whole world upside down, and this particular '79 NS-2 is that bass for me :D

Are the original EMG pickups included?
|MDBass ||10-31-2013 04:41 PM |
I no longer have the original EMG's, but if you prefer that flavor it should be easy enough to find a set here on TB; selling the Aguilar's would definitely cover the cost as they are actually the more expensive set ;)

Back In Town Bump!

Love this bass, too bad I'm tapped out
|MDBass ||11-05-2013 01:21 AM |
Thanks for the Spector love guys!
I certainly won't be upset if no one ends up buying this beauty, but it really is too good of a bass not to be someone's #1 ;)
